About the designer
"Fashion is my vehicle to spread the message of love and happiness. Ladies who appreciate quality fashion would enjoy the garments I create."
Inspired by the beauty of botanical forms and their unique textures and patterns, Tsu Jong touches people's lives through her creativity and passion in fashion. Her designs are to bring out the beauty of women and allow positive energy to attract happiness in life.
Growing up in a creative household, Tsu has always wanted to become a fashion designer. Her mother who is an immaculate tailor taught her how to sew at a very young age. At the age of 15, she designed a costume entitled 'Hopes and Dreams' in collaboration with the Casula Powerhouse Museum. After she graduated from high school, she began her formal training in fashion and textile designing at TAFE and the University of Technology Sydney.
Her involvement in competition earned her an Outstanding Achievement Award in Womenswear and a finalist in Cutting In Youth Fashion Design Awards. Besides being in the hype of the fashion world, she lent skills helping a charity organisation sewing special cushions for women who had breast cancer.
Following the footpath of many leading Australian designers, Tsu has launched her self-titled label in 2008 with her partner. She places strong emphasis on quality, creativity and uniqueness in her designs. Each garment is created from love and joy to bring positive energy for her customers. She always supports the Australian fashion industry and therefore all garments are entirely Australian made from designing, pattern-making to production and finishing.
